UPDATE: As of April, 2009, we have decided to end all suuport for Community Server.  We will continue to support existing clients for at least the next year, but we will not be taking on any new Community Server based projects.

Even though I don't have any plans to for further development of the Calendar Control, I have been receiving inquiries about the control and have decided to make it available as a custom install.  The control only supports version CS2008.5 SP1 and later due to bugs in prior versions of CS2008.  My rate is $100/hr and a normal install takes about 4 hours, which includes backups, setup, and installation.  In the event that your system is slightly different and causes problems with the install the maximum charge would be for 8 hours or work, even if it takes longer; however, I haven't run into any problems on any system as of yet.

While I would have liked to support Hubs (a.k.a. Groups), the control does not support them.  My best guess is that it would take about 80 hours of work to add support for hubs and may take even longer.  Due to the current economy, I can't justify the loss of time and revenue that would be required to do this.  If you absolutely need Hubs and are willing to pay for a portion of the development costs, please let me know.  If enough of you are willing to do this, I should be able to open up some time to work on it.

Around May 2009, Telligent is planning on releasing their own event calendar, but I have no idea how their system will work.  After their system is released I will work on a conversion script/application, for those whom have paid for an install, to convert the data used by this control to that of Telligent's new event calendar, if it is possible.  For those who do not wish to switch over, or at least not immediately, I will support the control for as long as any paying client is still using it.  Which means that you don't need to worry that it will stop working in the future, as I do use it myself.  You will need to check with me before upgrading to a new version of Community Server, as each upgrade tends to break addons due to changes in the API.

If you would like to have the control installed on your system, please call the office at (619) 260-1054 or send an email to sales@wgb.com for more information.

Thanks,
Bill Bosacker
